Richard T. Lockwood

Richard T. Lockwood, 81, of Cincinnatus, NY, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, August 4, 2016, at the Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Norwich, NY.

Born in Pitcher, NY, on November 17, 1934, Richard was the son of the late Thomas and Cora Thompson Lockwood.  A lifelong resident of this area, he was last employed as an assembler for Harrington Farm Machinery, Cincinnatus.  Prior to that, he had worked for McKee Equipment for over 20 years and had also assisted Ted Stith, Sr. at his auctions for over 20 years.

He is survived by his brothers, Charles (Mary) Lockwood and Clesson (Mabel) Lockwood, all of Norwich; his sisters, Irene Hall and Lois Martin, both of McLean; a sister-in-law, Nyle Lockwood of Chiefland, FL; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Bill and Erwin Lockwood; and his sisters, Loretta Teeter, Margaret Seager, and Alice Pierce.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Palmer Neumeister officiating.  Burial will be in Cincinnatus Cemetery.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, prior to the service, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Richard may be directed to the Cincinnatus Fire Department, c/o Robin Neal, P.O. Box 427, Cincinnatus, NY 13040.
