Bob graduated from McGraw Central School in 1977. His dedication and strong work ethic led him to a rewarding career at Gutchess Lumber in Cortland, where he worked in various capacities for 45 years until his well-earned retirement. His commitment to his job and colleagues was a testament to his character and determination.
Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, who he dearly loved, Tina J. (Ingrahm) Hotaling. Together they raised two sons, Adam R. Hotaling and Justin C. Hotaling, both of Cortland. In addition to being a loving husband and father, Bob also has a grandchild, Hailie "Raymond" Moore.
He also leaves behind a close-knit family, including his sisters JoAnn Wyatt, Karen Maricle, Bonnie Bearup, Linda Hotaling, Lori Jacobs, and Patty Sue Norton, as well as his brother Frank Hotaling, Sr., all sharing treasured memories with him. Bob was further supported by his family in Oklahoma including his uncle Carroll Harris and aunt Marian Towers . He is also remembered by Adam's Fiance Jamie Lynn Schaap, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
In keeping with the wishes of the family, there will be no immediate services. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
Bob will be greatly missed by his family and friends, who will carry on his spirit of kindness, hard work, and love. His legacy will continue through the many lives he touched during his time with us.
