Ronald H. Smith

Ronald H. Smith, 82, of Cincinnatus, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Cayuga Medical Center, Ithaca, NY.  

Born in DeRuyter, NY, on May 23, 1941, Ronnie was the son of the late Harold DeRoss and Julie Mae Cass Smith.  A longtime resident of this area, he enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his friends at "Turning Water."  He was also very fond of his cats.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Sherry Rutan Smith, on November 5, 2023; a brother, Raymond Smith; and a sister, Camilla Loomis.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no services.  Burial will be in Taylor Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
