Rosella E. Tomlinson Paddock, 75, of Cortland, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 14, 2016, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center, Cortland, NY.
Rosella was born in Troy, OH, on November 3, 1940, and made her home in Cortland County for several years before moving to Englewood, TN. She was a graduate of Stockbridge Central School. While in Englewood, she was a member of the Etowah Sr. Center, Etowah, TN, and worked from her home as a seamstress. She also served as a volunteer seamstress for the Little Dresses for Africa and the Christian Appalachian Project which benefitted the many people from the Appalachian Mountains. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and crocheting.
She is survived by her children, Wade (Dannette) Tomlinson, of Cincinnatus, Tim (Vicky) Tomlinson, of Cortland, and Lisa (Gerald) Adams, of Cincinnatus. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Daniel, Adam, Bethany, and Kyle Tomlinson, and Jeriann (Kevin) Duvall, and Jeremy Adams; a great-granddaughter, Morgan DuVall; a brother, Daniel (Cheri) Garbry of Wampsville; a sister-in-law, Mickey Garbry, of Rome; the father of her children, Leonard Tomlinson, of Cincinnatus; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her second husband, Carley Paddock; father, Daniel Garbry; stepmother, Barbara Dale; and a brother, Mark Garbry.
A memorial service will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY, on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Fred M.S. Downs officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Oneida, NY, at the convenience of the family.
