Sherry K. Marshall, 48, of South Otselic, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, NY, after becoming ill at work.

Sherry was born in Cortland, NY on August 8, 1962, a daughter of Wayne and Judy Morse Smith. She was a graduate of Otselic Valley Central School and for the past seven years has been employed at CWS in Norwich. Sherry was an avid bowler and had a strong love for horses, horseback riding and dancing. A loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, she will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Wayne and Judy Smith, of S. Otselic, she is survived by her husband of 19 years, LeRoy Marshall, at home, and their three sons, Dalton, Dustin, and Darnell Marshall, all at home. She also leaves behind her sisters, Kim (Jamie) Jolliff of Maryland and Susan (Mark Dougherty) Smith of W. Virginia; her brothers, Mark W. (Robbin Hegedus) Smith and Brian (Diane) Smith, all of S. Otselic; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her closest canine companion, Cinnamon.

Funeral services will be held at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Sunday, October 10, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. with Jeanne Angell officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, S. Otselic, NY. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until the start of the service at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to remember Sherry with a donation are kindly asked to consider a local S.P.C.A. or an animal rescue organization.
