Sherry L. Smith

Sherry L. (Rutan) Smith, 77, of Pitcher, NY, passed away peacefully at her brother’s home in Willet, NY, on Sunday, November 5, 2023, while under the care of hospice.

Sherry was born on October 4, 1946, the daughter of the late Ronald Charles and Clara Mae Holtmart Rutan.  In her earlier years, she had been employed by Buckbee-Mears and Pall Trinity.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ronald Smith; and her brothers, Larry (Darla) Rutan and Raymond (Terri) Rutan, all of Willet.  She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Rutan.
