Shirley A. White

Shirley A. (Franklin) White, born on January 20, 1936, in Pitcher, NY, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025, in Cortland, NY, at the age of 89.

Shirley was the daughter of the late Clyde and Marvel Timmerman Franklin. Shirley was a proud graduate of Cincinnatus Central School. She retired from Crescent Corset after several years of dedicated service, and she also contributed to the food service sector at SUNY Cortland, where she was well-regarded for her work ethic and kindness.

She is survived by her beloved sons: Rick (Donna) White of Virginia, Ronald White of Willet, Stephen White of Cincinnatus, Robert (Kay) White of Texas, and Timothy (Karie) White of Homer. Her legacy continues through her three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy into her life.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Devere "Bub" White,  her siblings, Lawrence Franklin and Mary Lou Currier, and a daughter-in-law, Patti White.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Shirley may be directed to a charity of one’s choice
