Stephanie L. Deuel

Stephanie Lynn Deuel, a true maestro of merriment and the life of every party, took her final bow on June 8, 2024, at the youthful age of 37. A native of Norwich, NY, born on November 4, 1986, she had a flair for turning the volume up on life in Canandaigua and getting everybody to dance to her beat. 

Our beloved Stephanie was a walking symphony of laughter, with a tattoo of the Boognish as a badge of musical allegiance. She orchestrated the best times, spun the decks of joy, and had an uncanny ability to shuffle the track list of life to make sure her song always played first (and maybe your pick right after). 

Her family members include, mom, Denise Jenkins, stepdad, Kevin Lukowski, dad, James Deuel and stepmom Lana Deuel, along with her sisters, Danielle Merrill and Amy Knochenmus. Her fan club of nieces and nephews – Kaydance, Deagan, Allison, June, and Grace, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins, will forever encore her name. Stephanie’s prelude was set by her cherished grandparents, Nancy and Clifford Deuel. 

No companion was left untouched by Stephanie’s spirit, not even her furry loves, Huck and Harley, who will paw-sitively miss her loving cuddles and treats. 

While the playlist of Stephanie’s life might have reached its final track, her rhythm will pulse on. Stephanie’s lifelong gig may have wrapped, but encores of her vibrant spirit will replay forever in the halls of memory. Rock on, Stephanie, for you were the beat we all danced to. 

A celebration of Stephanie’s life will be held at the Oxford Legion on Saturday, July 6, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
