Thomas C. Jones, Jr.

Thomas C. Jones, Jr., 95, of South Lyon, MI, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2019.

Tom attended Cincinnatus High School and became an honorably discharged Navy veteran in 1946.   Tom was a graduate of the Simmons School of Mortuary Science in Syracuse, NY, and spent his career as a funeral director proudly serving families throughout New York State for many years.  He also was a member of many civic, charitable and trade organizations and was a 50+ year member of the Schenectady Lodge No. 1174 F & AM. 

Tom enjoyed being a “snowbird” in Estero, FL, for over 35 years, and was an active participant in the Corkscrew Woodlands Community.

Tom is survived by his loving wife, Marion Jones, and her daughters and their families; Charlene Tennant, Peggy (Rene) Staeb, and Janet (John) Riddle, his daughter Barbara (Kevin) St. Phillips and her daughter Christina (Brandon) Connor.  He is also survived by grandsons Dr. Eric (Rochelle) Jones and Darin (Crystina) Jones, and several grand and great grandchildren.

Tom was predeceased by his children, Dr. Robert Jones and Sharon Price.

Services for Tom will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Celebration Lutheran Church, 39375 Joy Road, Westland, MI.   Tom will return home for burial at the Willet Cemetery, Willet, NY, scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 10:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Celebration Lutheran Church.
