Timothy E. Straight, Sr.

Timothy E. Straight, Sr., 51, of Pitcher, NY, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Tim was born in Syracuse, NY on June 3, 1961, a son of Glenn Straight and Sharron Hancock Pedford.  A longtime resident of the area, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Pitcher.  Prior to that, he worked at Vector Construction for 20 years.  Tim loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisher, and always had a great sense of humor.  He loved his wife and children dearly, and was especially fond of his dog, Jack “The Old Man.”  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Tracy Cruikshank Straight; and his children, Tricia Straight of San Diego, CA and Timothy Straight, Jr. of S. Otselic.  He is also survived by his father, Glenn (Barbara) Straight of Sherburne; a brother, Bradley (Cathy) Straight of Sheds; sisters, Patsy Hagenbuch of Norwich, Tarrie Washo of Delphi Falls, and Tina Gallop of Sanford, FL; his mother-in-law, Nancy Cruikshank of Pitcher; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother, Sharron Pedford, his stepmother, Iona Straight; and a sister, Linda Winner.

The family will be present to receive friends at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, NY on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.  In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service.
