Vance Wayne Pittsley passed away after a brief illness in South Carolina on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Vance was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He was a good dancer and taught his nieces the Texas Two-Step. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his brother “Chub.”

He is predeceased by his parents Joyce and Walt Pittsley, both of Cincinnatus, as well as his Uncle Norman (Betty) Maricle of South Carolina and his eldest brother Vern (Patricia) Pittsley of Cincinnatus. He is also predeceased by brother Virgil of South Carolina, and his sister-in-law Marie (Veryl) Pittsley of Norwich.

Vance is survived by his Aunt Janet Maricle, of South Carolina, and by his brothers Veryl Pittsley of Norwich, and Valden Pittsley of Cincinnatus, his sister-in-law Patricia (Vern) Pittsley of Cincinnatus, and by his son, Jason (Micole) Pittsley, and his daughter Jerri (Devin) Webb. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Derreco Miller, Jade Pittsley, and Jazlynn Pittsley; Jordyn and Jayce Webb, as well as one great-grandchild, Kayden Miller, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Vance will interred in a private ceremony at Wayside Rest Cemetery in Pharsalia, NY.
