Virginia I. Stith, 83, of Lakeland, FL and formerly of the Otselic area, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, in Florida.
Mrs. Stith was born on December 19, 1926, a daughter of the late Horace and Emily Baker. She made her home in both Florida and New York for several years.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Doris) Stith, Josephine (Wayne) Winner, June (Gary) Rounds, Sue (Irv) Raymond, Diana (Bud) Chapman, Richard (Annette) Stith, Rodney (Rachael) Stith, Ruby (Lewie) Manwarren, and Linda (Mark) Thorp. She also leaves behind 31 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; two brothers, William Baker and Butch Baker, and a sister, Kathy Thompson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Isadore Stith, in 2000, an infant set of twins, two daughters, Vickie Thornton and Brenda Hernandez, and a brother, Bob Baker.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pitcher Federated Church with Reverend Brenda McCutcheon officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, South Otselic, NY. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Stith may be directed to Hospice of Chenango County, 21 Hayes Street, Norwich, NY 13815.
