Obituary

Wanda M. (Rogers) Ryan, 63, of McGraw, NY, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, while surrounded by her family.

Wanda was born in Cortland, NY on January 28, 1963, the daughter of Karl Rogers, Sr. and Rita Hammon Rogers. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister whose caring spirit touched many lives.

A member of the McGraw United Methodist Church, Wanda made her home in McGraw, where she was a source of love and kindness to all who knew her. Professionally, Wanda dedicated her talents as a payroll clerk for Wendcentral in Cortland, where her diligence and warmth were deeply valued by her colleagues until her illness forced her to step back. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures: tending to her gardens, caring for beautiful flowers, and looking after not only her beloved family but her cherished furry companions, Max and Odin. Travel was another of Wanda’s passions, especially her journeys to Mexico, which she recalled fondly and with delight.

Wanda’s greatest pride and love were her family. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Ryan, and her devoted children: daughter Jennifer Breed of Homer, and sons Ryan (Chris Bumpus) Stiles of Lafayette, Andrew Stiles of McGraw, and Tyler Stiles of McGraw. Her legacy also lives on in her adored grandchildren: Payton, Reagan, Carrick, Joshua, Aurora, Nicholas, Madison, and Evan. Wanda also leaves behind her mother, Rita Rogers of McGraw, and her brother, Karl (Jessica) Rogers, Jr. of Norwich.

She was predeceased by her father, Karl Rogers, Sr., on January 9, 2025.

Wanda’s memory will be treasured by all who knew her. Her compassion, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends will remain an enduring source of inspiration.

A graveside service to honor Wanda’s life will be held at the McGraw Cemetery on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Wanda may be directed to a charity of one’s choice.

Wanda’s love, her joyful spirit, and her unwavering sense of care for those around her leave a meaningful and enduring legacy. She will be dearly missed and remembered always.
